F.A.Q's

nswers to questions I get asked a lot. Please read these throughouly before asking me a question. (And I'm pretty sure that's spelled wrong, too.)

Q: Is this an Arwen fansite?
A: Nopers. When I was thinking for a name, I originally thought of "Whispers of a Nameless Fear". The name was changed later to fit my favorite character.

Q: Then why is so much stuff Arwen-related?
A: I play a terrible, terrible game of favorites. Arwen is my favorite. And the layouts almost always feature Arwen because A, they fit the name, and B, there's so many great shots of her.

Q: I love your site! Can I use your stuff on my site?
A: Errr...usually, I don't mind if you take the info, as that's usually collected from places such as IMDB. As far as costume descriptions, I don't mind as long as you re-write the stuff. You can take any of the gallery imagees with a white border to redistribute. Please ask before using any images with a purple border. You can use the Media, but you absolutely under no circumstances may redistribute it. As for stuff in the Misc. section, I would like it if you came up with your own ideas. It's usually stuff I wrote when I was bored and wanted to add content, and it's not really hard to take the ideas and make them into something else, as I have done several times in that section. You cannot use anything from the Fan section wtihout the author's permission. If you're not sure what you can use, don't hesitate to E-mail me.

Q: Are you an actor or a crew member from the movies? Are you Liv Tyler? Are you Peter Jackson?
A: The last time I checked, I was a high-school female living in Iowa, with no movie experience unless I was caught on accident. So no. I am not Liv Tyler, and I don't have any money like the aforementioned do. Also, I have no connections with them, so don't mail me expecting to get a reply back from the person you want. They don't know I exist.

Q: Who's your host?
A: I've had several hosts. First of all, it was Geocities, until I was picked up for hosting by Emily at Distilled-Spirits.net. When D-S.net closed, my friend Steph offered to host me, and that is where I (happily) am now. I don't know if she would host you, the person reading this, but it doesn't hurt to ask, I suppose.

Q: How did you make this site?
A: I coded the site by hand on Notepad, using HTML along with a PHP headers script and an external CSS stylesheet, and The updates are managed through Cutenews. The graphics were designed on Adobe Photoshop Buisness version 7.0, courtesy of my brother. It was all cobbled together on an HP Pavilion running on Windows XP Home Edition. I checked the website using Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera 9, on a 1024X768 resolution as well as 800x600. I uploaded the site onto my webspace using SmartFTP v. 2. Hopefully, that answers your questions well enough.
